Ashoka Review

The summary review is shown below.

Summary

So here are the results of the Scottish jury.  Our first trip by plane which was certainly a novel way of getting to a curry house.

We certainly had a great weekend but I think we were a little disappointed with our meal.  The restaurant was rather cramped and a little bit dowdy for our liking.  The score is still reasonable but there does seem to be a different taste in evidence in a lot of the dishes.  The waiter explained the Ashoka group sell similar food throughout it's chain of 40 or so restaurants so we can only assume this suits the Scottish pallate.

As far as the MKCC go we like our curries with fuller rounder flavours with less of the sweet and sour influence.  Perhaps we need to travel around all parts of the UK to test the theory that curries vary throughout the regions.....
