Cafe Balti Review[Visit the Information Page for this Restaurant] The summary review is shown below. SummaryThe final reckoning is shown in the table below. Overall we rate it a disappointing 16.0 Taj Mahals. This meal generated a lot of feedback from the curry clubbers with some common themes throughout. Ian covered just about all aspects of in his score sheet so I've added it in full below. Other extracts from the score sheets are shown in the bullets at the bottom. Highlights were the vegetable dishes and lowlights the toilets. A shame really as the restaurant is quite intimate and smart. A bit of attention in a few areas could really lift the scores. Plain popadums - definitely stale - spicey ones also suspect. Cranberrry sauce dip, no thank you! No soap or towel in Gents and floor was filthy. No music. Curious timekeeping, 90 seconds late with the table, 45 minutes late with the food..... Lukewarm assorted starter; onion bhaji tasteless but lamb chop soft and tasty Over 30 minutes between arrival of starters and main course. Lamb Bombay Dhim good flavour, very nice Sag Paneer (nearly as good as the Rose of India). Fluffy nan bread but it was cold on arrival. Brinjel Bhaji was the best I ever had. The vegetable dishes really lifted the overall meal Very long wait for the bill...............so long that some members cooked a Ocra Bhaji side dish while we waited!
