Dinajpur#2 Review - January 2006

Summary

So here we are for the second visit to Dinajpur.  Last time we came here was quite a disappointing experience.  I recall this was the origin of the famous "not a Balti" quote.  See earlier review for a recap.

So results this time are clearly better with slightly over 20; the benchmark by which we deem a visit worthwhile.

A number of our group noted the close proximity to pubs which is always a good thing.

Service was a bit patchy at times.  The poor music did not help and it was also quite quiet for a Friday.

  • Bloody pan pipe music!
  • Good poppodoms and dips

  • Flat onion bhajees and quite tasteless
  • Not very attentive service - don't they know who we are?

  • Lack of atmosphere - quiet
  • Prompt service on arrival
  • Gents toilet needs attention.  Not pleasant.  Hope the kitchen is cleaner
