Summary

I think the overall rating is disappointing. Two brothers with their first experience in MK (have other restaurants in Coventry, Bedford, etc.). They certainly spoke of wanting to make it big in the area and how much they wanted to make us happy. The biggest surprise was what seemed to be a lack of cohesion between the staff.

Quite frankly, the service was, at best, a shambles - but it all seemed a bit chaotic. None of the waiters seemed to know who had what for starters/main courses. We were given quite a few "on the house" veggie curry's (which were good) desserts and drinks (which were not good), but to be honest - as nice as that was - we don't want what appear to be bribes. We want good surroundings; excellent service; good food; cleanliness of the whole operation and value for money.

  • Onion bhajees - 3 small ones J, although a little bland
  • Mess up on main mael (chicken kamiri) ordered madras hot and it came mild. Meal was replaced.
  • Veggie dishes were better than many restaurants we've been to
  • Disappointing overall
  • Nice sauces with popadums
  • Chefs special lamb curry (recommended) too sweet and no curry taste
  • Naans below average
  • Vegetable dishes very good
  • Service poor on whole
  • Sheek kebab dry - seemed pre cooked
  • Lamb jalfrezi nice but lamb pre cooked
