Jaipur Review - February 2004

The summary review is shown below.

Summary

The final reckoning is shown in the table below. Overall we rate it an OK 19.0 Taj Mahals which is 2 down on the last time we visited.

There seemed to be quite a variation in what members thought of the food. I would certainly rate the cuisine in this establishment and even some of the more critical members were heard to say "I've not tasted a bad dish"

Personally speaking I thought the food very good, in particular I enjoyed the lamb dishes which were characterised by large pieces that melted in your mouth.

Of course the problem that some of our members have with the Jaipur is the cost.  I think Graeme has it summed up in this extract from his review which you read here:

You know that you will not pay less £25 per person - and that is somewhat reflected by how much you drink. It is the kind of place to take your most valued customer and should be the kind of place to take your loved one if you want more than just the food experience
