Moghul Palace Review - November 2004

The summary review is shown below.

Summary

The final reckoning is shown in the table below. Overall we rate it a very disappointing 17.0 Taj Mahals.

Looking back at our last visit in 2002 very little mention was made of the food.  The focus of comments seemed to concentrate on the speed of the meal and the keenness of the staff to get us out the door.  I was therefore looking forward to this visit as I missed out the first time around.

So what did we think.  Unfortunately things have slipped further since our last visit when it scored 19.0.  A couple of obvious points of interest from the scores below; service and cost were both considered low points of the evening.  Service was slow, inconsistent, items forgotten and generally a couldn't be bothered approach.  Followers of this site will know you cannot afford to let your service slip and I fear this was our experience.

The common curry cost confirms this is not a cheap place to eat, in fact it is only second to the Jaipur in terms of cost.  So be warned, you are paying for that fancy ceiling!
