Queensway Tandoori Review - March 2005

For personal detailed reviews of the restaurant click on the links to the left.

The summary review is shown below.

Summary

A gang of 10 arrived at the Queensway Tandoori and we half wondered if we would all fit inside.  This is conveniently located at the far end of Bletchley, adjacent to the car parking spaces next to the bandstand.  Has anyone ever seen a band playing here by the way?  Most odd.

This is essentially a take away and delivery establishment which has managed to squeeze about 20 or so covers into the long thin space that is the restaurant.  We had heard this was part of an endeavor by the owner to increase the net worth of the business.  To be honest who can blame him.

Overall impressions were very favourable.  We were warmly welcomed by the manager Baz and had very attentive service throughout the evening.  This is to be commended.

The general view on starters was good.  Most people thought the portions generous with some notable highlights of prawn puree and shamee kebab.  A few people thought their food a little cool.  Overall most of the members were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and some even rated it as high as the Rose.

Finally we have to turn to value for money.  Now here is the killer factor.  Queensway Tandoori is the cheapest place to get a sit down curry in Milton Keynes & Bletchley.  Check it out on the common curry page.

Queensway Tandoori is perhaps not your most obvious choice for a sit down curry but our findings suggest it is well worth a visit.  It offers good quality food, generous portions and it's cheap too!

Well done Queensway Tandoori, a certificate of excellence will be in the post shortly.
