Woburn Fort Review - March 2006

The summary review is shown below.

Summary

Our second visit to Woburn Sands but this time not the splendid Jalori but Woburn Fort.  We were hoping for good things from the Fort as the reviews on MKWeb suggested this was a well respected local eatery.

Well, how wrong could we be.  All in all a poor evening on nearly all fronts and this is reflected in the scores.

This is a small restaurant which is no bad thing but it does become a problem when service is very slow.  There were more than enough waiters on hand to cope with the bookings but everything seemed to take ages.

Food was largely OK but not inspiring on any counts

The final nail in the coffin is the cost.  The Common Curry costs place a meal here in the upper quartile.  Probably on the basis of this being Woburn Sands

Our recommendation would be to go to the Jalori.
